THE 7TH INTERNATIONAL PLANT BREEDING AND BIOTECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE 2026 (IPBBC2026)

Plant Breeding and Biotechnological Innovations for a Resilient Future

The 7th International Plant Breeding and Biotechnology Conference (IPBBC2026) returns as a pivotal platform to advance discussions and innovations in the fields of plant breeding and biotechnology. Formerly known as the International Plant Breeding Conference, this event has been rebranded to reflect a broader scope and to attract a wider audience by integrating the rapidly evolving field of biotechnology alongside conventional breeding approaches. The updated name signifies our commitment to addressing complex global agricultural challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration and technological innovation.

Plant breeding and biotechnology are two interconnected disciplines that play a vital role in ensuring food and nutritional security, improving crop resilience to climate change, and supporting sustainable agriculture worldwide. Building upon the remarkable success of past conferences, IPBBC2026 is designed to highlight the synergistic power of conventional and modern breeding techniques, integrated with cutting-edge biotechnological tools such as molecular markers, gene editing, genomic selection, and synthetic biology.

With the theme Plant Breeding and Biotechnological Innovations for a Resilient Future, the conference serves as a dynamic platform for uniting a global community of plant breeders, biotechnologists, geneticists, researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and students. It aims to explore cutting-edge scientific advances, share best practices, and catalyze strategic collaborations to enhance agricultural sustainability in the face of climate change.

Throughout the conference, more than 15 distinguished speakers from around the world will share their latest research and insights in key areas such as genomic-assisted breeding, functional genomics, molecular diagnostics, gene editing technologies, bioinformatics, and integrated strategies for climate-resilient crop improvement. In addition to keynote presentations, plenary sessions, and oral presentations, the conference will feature poster exhibitions, a technology and innovation showcase by leading biotechnology companies and solution providers in plant breeding and biotechnology, as well as a one-day technical visit. These activities will offer participants valuable opportunities to connect science with practice and observe real-world applications of innovations in breeding and biotechnology.

IPBBC2026 serves as a vital platform for advancing scientific dialogue and driving innovation in support of resilient and sustainable agriculture. Reflecting the conference theme, the event promotes the integration of cutting-edge research, emerging technologies, and collaborative strategies to strengthen the resilience of global food systems. By aligning with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 13 (Climate Action), the conference fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange aimed at accelerating the development of innovative breeding and biotechnological solutions that are essential for building a resilient agricultural future.

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Conference cordially invites academics, practitioners, scholars, researchers, and policymakers from government agencies to present oral or poster papers at IPBBC2026. Interested participants are encouraged to register and submit their abstracts online via: http://submit.confbay.com/conf/ipbbc2026

All submitted abstracts will undergo blind peer review by the Scientific Committee. Authors of accepted abstracts will be required to submit a full paper (if interested in publication), which must include the following sections:

Title, author(s), affiliations and email addresses, abstract, introduction, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgements, and references.

Manuscripts must be prepared in Times New Roman, font size 12, with single spacing, and should not exceed 15 pages, including tables and figures.

To cultivate a strong scientific culture among the next generation, the Conference strongly encourages postgraduate students worldwide to present their research. A discounted registration fee will be offered to support their participation.
